Sixty companies in the Italian stone/techno-stone sector on display from December 4 to 7 in the United Arab Emirates thanks to the group exhibit organized and promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and ICE-Agency – its Dubai office in particular – in collaboration with CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE at MIDDLE EAST STONE 2023, which opens today at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai.
The spacious Italia Area came to MIDDLE EAST STONE favored by the latest statistics processed by the association’s Studies Center that register an export figure for finished and semi-finished stone products Made in Italy to the UAE showing growth of 34.9% in the first eight months of 2023, for worth of 41,720,435 euros. A percentage increase even better than the 2022 growth rate for the Emirates and very likely to surpass total exports for last year which amounted to 50,556,870 euros (+23.1% from 2021). Also doing well were exports of Italian stone-working machines, installations and technologies to the United Arab Emirates, up 52.9% from the first eight months of 2022, for total worth of 2,888,746 euros. Coming from a 2022 export figure for the EAU that had already grown by 74.2% from 2021.
At MIDDLE EAST STONE 2023 the Italia Area also contained an ICE-CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Meeting Point, a venue for official meetings offering the customary welcome and assistance services to companies exhibiting at or visiting the Emirates event.
MIDDLE EAST STONE – organized within the cluster of events at The Big 5 Global – is the only stone sector tradeshow in the United Arab Emirates as well as the main specialized event in the whole Persian Gulf area devoted to natural stone and the technologies to work it. The 2023 edition of The Big 5 Global had more than 2,200 exhibitor from 60 Countries and drew more than 70,000 operators and specialized buyers.
